USA Hire requires JavaScript to be enabled in your browser
JavaScript is a programming language that allows websites use to be interactive, like Pause/Play controls for a video.
Follow the instructions below to check and make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser.
Google Chrome
- Click the Customize and control button to reveal a menu of options. This button is located in the top-right corner of the Chrome window (it looks like three little black dots on top of each other).
- Click Settings item to be taken to the Settings page for Chrome.
- At the top of the page is a search box labeled Search settings. Type the word javascript into the search field (it’s not case sensitive) and you will see Chrome start to change what’s shown on the settings page and you should see a Site settings search result.
- Click the Site settings search result.
- Scroll down to the Content sub-section to find and click on the JavaScript settings item.
- To verify JavaScript is enabled, ensure the Sites can use Javascript option is selected. Once selected, or if already selected, you’ve confirmed JavaScript is enabled.
Mozilla Firefox
- Within the Firefox browser, click into the search address bar where you would type in a website URL.
- Type in only about:config and press the Enter button on your keyboard.
- If you receive a warning message, accept the warning about changing advanced settings by clicking the Accept the Risk and Continue button.
- Using the search bar, search for javascript.
- Find the javascript.enabled setting in the Preference name column.
- If you have JavaScript enabled, it will state true.
- If you have JavaScript disabled, it will state false. To update this setting to true, you’ll click the Reset button (it will look like an undo icon – arrow going from left to right) and it will change the setting from false to true.
- If you have JavaScript enabled, it will state true.
- Close the browser tab as you’ve confirmed JavaScript is enabled.
Apple Safari
- Within the Safari browser, click on the Safari menu button. This button will be in the top left-hand corner of the Safari window (it will be between the Apple logo/icon and the File menu button).
- Within the options menu, click the Preferences item to be taken to the preferences screen.
- Click the Security tab (or button) along the top of the preferences screen.
- Find the Enable JavaScript option.
- If JavaScript is enabled, the checkbox for this option will be checked.
- If JavaScript is disabled, check the checkbox to enable it.
- If JavaScript is enabled, the checkbox for this option will be checked.
- Close the preferences window as you’ve confirmed JavaScript is enabled.
Microsoft Edge
- Within the Edge browser, click on the Settings and more button. This button will be in the top right-hand corner of the Edge window (it will look like three small dots next to each other).
- Click Settings to be taken to the settings page for Edge.
- Using the search bar, search for javascript.
- Click the JavaScript section which appears in the search results.
- In the JavaScript settings page, there will be an Allowed (recommended) setting.
- If JavaScript is enabled, the setting will have a slider toggle that is blue.
- If JavaScript is disabled, the setting will have a slider toggle that is gray. Click the slider toggle to set it to the blue enabled toggle.
- If JavaScript is enabled, the setting will have a slider toggle that is blue.
- Close the settings tab as you’ve confirmed JavaScript is enabled.
