Assessments will be administered through the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) USA Hire assessment delivery platform.
Requirements for unproctored assessments
If you're completing assessments in an unproctored setting (i.e., a location of your choosing), ensure your testing device and environment meet the following requirements:
Device Type

Desktop/Laptop: All assessments can be taken on a desktop computer or laptop.

Mobile Devices: Most assessments can also be taken on a mobile device such as a tablet or phone.

Special Instructions: You'll find out on the USA Hire platform if you need a desktop/laptop computer or if you can use a mobile device for your assessment. This information will be on the Important Information page when you log in to start your assessment.
Web Browser

Supported Browsers: USA Hire supports the current releases of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge.

Requirement: USA Hire requires your browser to have JavaScript enabled.

Internet Connection

Connection Type: Use a reliable high-speed internet connection without a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Dial-up connections and VPNs can impact the delivery and display of the assessments.

Videos and Audio

Media Requirements: Certain assessments use audio and video. If you don't have speakers, all videos have closed captioning.
